SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE SERVICE is looking for a GENERAL WORKER. Division: Human Resource Development SALARY: R104 073 per annum (Level 02) CENTRE: SAPS Academy, Hammanskraal.

REQUIREMENTS FOR GENERAL WORKER

The following are the general minimum criteria for the positions: Applicants must demonstrate expertise in the post-specific core tasks. You must be proficient in at least two official languages, one of which must be English. You must be a South African citizen. There must be no prior criminal or departmental convictions or outstanding criminal or departmental proceedings. Applicants will go through a vetting procedure that includes security screening and fingerprint verification. Additional requirements include: A Grade 10 certification will be advantageous. Literacy, numeracy, and communication abilities are required. Be 61 able to read and write; be able to operate basic machinery and equipment; and be willing to work long hours when required.

DUTIES

Keeping a high degree of hygiene in and around the workplace by cleaning the SAPS premises allocated to, which may comprise either or both interior and exterior characteristics; Routine chores include cleaning, polishing furniture and floors, vacuuming carpets and mopping tile floors, removing trash, and doing maintenance activities in and around the allotted premises. Bathrooms and kitchens that are clean; Keeping and managing a range of cleaning aids for the premises; Goods loading and unloading; Garden care services; washing and cleaning of state vehicles, cookware, and utensils; and reporting of losses and damages incurred while performing cleaning responsibilities.
