Gauteng Department of Health is looking for General Workers/handymen. This vacant is in the directorate of maintenance. 10 positions are available for qualifying candidates. Requirements
Grade 9 / Abet Level 4 A minimum of 0-6 months general maintenance experience is required. COMPETENCIES: Understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, as well as GPG and Department of DID policies and procedures. Legislation and Public Service Regulations that apply. Recognize Department of DID-related initiatives or agencies. SKILLS- Customer connection, team player, customer focused, credible, proactive and resourceful, cost careful, quality driven, responsive, people orientated
Duties
Carry out responsibilities in line with instructions and the OHS Act. Make sure you have all of your equipment and supplies before you start working. After completing the task, clean the regions. Assist Artisan in determining material needed. Make sure you have all of your equipment and supplies before you start working. After the task is done, clean the area. Contribute to the updating of job cards and the follow-up on outstanding tasks. Make schedule reporting inputs. Participate in seminars, courses, and on-site training.
