NEMISA Digital Ambassador Vacancies 2026

The National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa is inviting applications for 32 Digital Ambassador positions under the Ya Rona Digital Programme. Successful candidates will be based at selected TVET Colleges across South Africa and will help deliver digital literacy training to community members.

Purpose of the Programme

The Digital Ambassador Programme aims to improve digital literacy within South African communities. Appointed ambassadors will receive training and thereafter facilitate digital literacy programmes for community members in their assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be required to:

  • Attend digital literacy training sessions provided by NEMISA
  • Learn and apply basic digital literacy skills
  • Mobilise community members to participate in training programmes
  • Facilitate digital literacy training sessions
  • Develop weekly community training plans
  • Liaise with municipalities, organisations, and stakeholders to secure training venues
  • Meet allocated weekly training targets
  • Submit reports and maintain training records
  • Promote digital inclusion within local communities

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
  • Computer literacy skills
  • National Certificate (Vocational) [NC(V)], NATED qualification, or Occupational Certificate
  • At least 1–2 years of working experience in any field

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Post-matric qualification
  • Computer certificate
  • TVET NC(V) Level 4 or N6 qualification
  • ICT-related occupational certificate
  • Digital certifications
  • Training or facilitation experience
  • Diploma or Degree in ICT, Education, or a related field
