About the Role

The Courier Admin Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily administration of courier services, fleet operations, and logistics. The successful candidate will coordinate doctor orders, manage courier dispatch, monitor fleet activities, process accident reports, assist with stock control, and ensure efficient sample collection and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Managing doctors’ orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinating courier assignments and dispatch.
  • Monitoring courier activities using the Courier Management System.
  • Handling customer complaints and resolving service queries.
  • Maintaining ISO quality standards.
  • Ordering and managing stock levels.
  • Performing costing reconciliations.
  • Processing accident reports and Workers’ Compensation (WCA) claims.
  • Providing support for accident reporting when on call.
  • Distributing request forms and stock to doctors.
  • Assisting with the allocation and distribution of liquid nitrogen.
  • Monitoring vehicle movements using GeoTab.
  • Checking vehicle inspection sheets to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Monitoring departmental turnaround times.
  • Processing Standard Bank FIMS transactions.
  • Assisting with staff training on internal systems.
  • Sorting and distributing laboratory reports to doctors.
  • Performing daily administrative tasks to support efficient operations.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in fleet management and logistics.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
