About the Role
The Clicks Shop Assistant Cashier is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while ensuring efficient point-of-sale (POS) operations, accurate cash handling, merchandising, and store housekeeping.
Successful candidates will also help promote the Clicks ClubCard programme and contribute to achieving store sales and customer service targets.
Key Responsibilities
As a Shop Assistant Cashier, you will:
- Operate the point of sale (POS) efficiently and accurately.
- Scan merchandise and process customer payments.
- Handle cash safely and accurately.
- Promote the Clicks ClubCard programme and register new members.
- Inform customers about promotions and special offers.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service.
- Merchandise products according to store standards.
- Maintain high housekeeping and visual merchandising standards.
- Keep up to date with products, promotions, and store events.
- Support Clicks’ vision of being South Africa’s preferred health and beauty retailer.
Minimum Requirements
Essential
- Grade 12 (Matric)
Desirable
- Mathematics: 50% or higher
- English: 50% or higher
- Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or FMCG environment
Knowledge Required
