Learnership Purpose ( Public Service Administrator)

The Public Service Administrator Learnership is designed to provide learners with practical and theoretical training in public administration, office management, customer service, records management, and administrative support.

Successful learners will gain workplace experience while working towards a nationally recognised NQF Level 5 qualification.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Must be unemployed.
  • Must not be enrolled in any educational institution.
  • Must not be registered for any learnership programme.
  • Must not have completed any post-matric qualification.
  • Must be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID.
  • Must be between 18 and 35 years old.

Educational Requirements

Applicants must have Grade 12 (Matric) with either:

Option 1

  • Mathematics (Level 4 or higher) or Mathematical Literacy (Level 5 or higher), and
  • Physical Science (Level 4 or higher).

Option 2

  • Mathematics (Level 4 or higher) or Mathematical Literacy (Level 5 or higher), and
  • Business Studies (Level 4 or higher).

Key Responsibilities

Successful learners will be exposed to various administrative functions, including:

Office Administration

  • Managing office records and filing systems.
  • Preparing reports, correspondence, and official documents.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintaining accurate administrative records.

Customer Service and Communication

  • Communicating professionally with clients, stakeholders, and employees.
