Minimum Requirements
Applicants applying for Garden Worker must:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be proficient in English and at least one other official language.
- Display competency in the duties of the post.
- Be able to read and write.
- Be willing to work extended hours when required.
Advantage:
- Grade 10 qualification.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
Successful applicants should possess:
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with colleagues.
- Ability to operate basic gardening equipment and machinery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Maintaining gardens and surrounding grounds.
- Performing routine cleaning services around the workplace.
- Watering plants, lawns and flower beds.
- Cutting grass, trimming hedges and removing weeds.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment.
- Assisting with stores, stock and gardening equipment.
- Ensuring gardening tools are properly cleaned and stored.
- Supporting general maintenance activities as required.
Salary
Successful applicants will receive:
R144,024 per annum (Salary Level 02)
