Requirements
Minimum ABET Level 2, Grade 6 or equivalent qualification. Ability to work under pressure. Must have the ability to work independently. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and write. Prepared to work in various areas within Laundry Department. Prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. The laundry experience will be added as an advantage. Duties
Hygienic and physically safe handling of clean and soiled linen. Count and sort Line daily according to guidelines. Record Linen collected and delivered to and from wards. Ensure functionality of machines and Report Defects. Ensure availability of clean linen for patients. Ensure that linen delivered to service points is packed in shelves. Assist with the washing of certain linen items in house. Assist with condemning of damaged linen. Participate in quarterly stock taking. Ensure that Infection control guidelines are implemented. Carry out Seamstress duties.
