The City of Joburg’s Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) is offering 12-month short-term contract positions for youth, individuals with disabilities, and community members residing within designated regions. Key Responsibilities
- General Worker
- Clean and maintain waiting areas, consulting rooms, kitchens, offices, and laundries.
- Prepare clinical areas for patient consultations.
- Sort and replace soiled linen.
- Keep clinic surroundings neat and ensure waste bins are emptied.
- Data Capturer
- Capture and update patient records in the clinic’s database.
- Compile monthly statistics on patient visits.
- Organize and retrieve patient records efficiently.
- Use appointment systems to schedule services and manage clinic documentation.
- Queue Marshal
- Welcome patients and guide them through clinic services.
- Monitor patient queues and ensure smooth flow in waiting areas.
- Assist with inquiries at the helpdesk.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Grade 10 or higher.
- Age: Youth aged 18 – 35 are encouraged to apply.
