South Africa Department of e-government in Johannesburg is looking for 2 candidates to submit their CVs for the available posts of Senior Security Officer. The position is available at the directorate of Security management with a compensation package of R208, 584.00 per annum (plus benefits).
Minimum requirements
- With 3-5 years of experience
- a Matric certificate and a Grade C Security qualification is required.
- Basic access control security training.
- It is critical to have a thorough understanding of access control processes, patrolling, searching, control room operations, security equipment, and radio and telephone communication.
- Supervisory abilities, understanding of operating equipment and devices, incident handling procedures, investigations, and security control will all be beneficial.
Duties and Responsibilities
Factions for Access Control should be used. Incidents / Reporting Emergencies. The security scanners at the entry points need to be manned. Determine if visitors have an appointment or require services via reception. Ensure that no departmental equipment or assets leave the building / premises without permission. Inside the building, conduct frequent patrol patrols as directed by the department, security police, and procedures.
On a regular basis, CCTV is monitored. Contact/alert SAPS, EMS, Security Management, and the Fire Department in the event of an emergency. Start the evacuation procedure in case of an emergency. Ensure that all employees and guests have left the building (patrol access patrol, CCTV). Taking statements, opening incident files, and turning the file on to the physical manager
