Dis-chem casual cashier Minimum Requirements

  • grade 12 certificate
  • 6-month experience in a similar industry will add as an advantage
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Numerical skills
  • know how to write and speak English
  • customer services and friendliness
  • Must be willing to work retailing houses

Job Description:

  • Adhere to Dis-Chem’s client service policies and procedures.
  • Establish an expert relationship with customers.
  • Report client complaints and compliments to the Frontline Supervisor, or store management.
  • Adhere to the client turnover hourly rate.
  • Be aware of current sales and promotions.
  • Ensure colleagues and customers don’t seem to be exposed to any risk.
  • Ensure all line voids and value changes square measure approved and signed off by the supervisor
  • Exchange merchandise for purchasers and settle for came back merchandise by customers once authorised to try and do this.
  • Transact all purchases – receive and method all payments (cash, bank cards, vouchers, coupons, alternative types of payments) accepted by Dis-Chem
  • Process all loyalty cards together with those of our accelerator partners (Discovery Health Care, Medihelp Lifestage, Momentum Multiply, bequest life-style, ABSA Rewards and eBucks)
  • Ensure money is placed in drop safe in keeping with Dis-Chem’s SOPs
